π° Victim Compensation in North Carolina
The North Carolina Victims Compensation Services helps eligible victims with costs related to violent crime.
Eligible expenses may include:
- Medical and counseling services
- Funeral and burial costs
- Lost wages and income support
- Childcare, relocation, and crime scene cleanup
Eligibility Requirements:
- Report the crime within 72 hours
- File the application within 2 years of the crime (with some exceptions)
- Cooperate with law enforcement
